This Privacy Notice explains how WorshipAid, LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares personal data when you use WorshipAid.com (the "Service"). We act as the data controller for the personal data described below.
1. Personal data we collect
- Account data — name, email address, hashed password, organization name, role.
- Content you create — worship aids, songs, readings, notes, uploaded images, and any other content you store in the Service.
- Support communications — messages you send us by email or through in-app channels.
- Usage and device data — pages visited, actions taken, IP address, browser type, device type, approximate location derived from IP, and similar telemetry.
- Cookies — strictly necessary cookies for authentication and limited analytics cookies (see Cookies below).
2. Why we use it (and our legal bases)
- To provide the Service (account creation, storing your content, generating PDFs) — performance of our contract with you.
- To keep the Service secure and prevent fraud or abuse — our legitimate interests.
- To improve the Service through analytics and product research — our legitimate interests.
- To provide customer support — performance of our contract with you.
- To send service announcements and, if you opt in, marketing emails — your consent for marketing; legitimate interest for operational notices.
- To meet legal and tax obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.
3. Who we share data with
- Service providers (subprocessors) — cloud hosting, database, file storage, email delivery, customer support tooling, analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under written agreements.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing for organisation accounts. Stripe's processing of your payment data is governed by its Privacy Policy.
- Professional advisers — legal, accounting, and auditing professionals as needed.
- Authorities — when required by law, court order, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
We do not sell personal data.
4. International transfers
Some of our service providers are located outside your country. Where personal data is transferred from the EEA, UK, or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above. Account and content data are kept for the life of your account and deleted (or anonymized) within a reasonable period after account closure, except where we must retain certain records to meet a legal obligation (for example, billing records).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data; to object to certain processing; and to withdraw consent at any time. EEA/UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, email support@worshipaid.com. We will respond within one month.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and regular review of our subprocessors. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password for your account.
8. Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies for: (a) essential functions such as keeping you signed in; and (b) limited analytics to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies will prevent the Service from functioning correctly.
